Mr. Pester retired in April 1999 from his position as Senior Vice President of international refining and marketing for The Coastal Corporation, a diversified energy company, which position he held since 1987. Mr. Pester is a past president of the Independent Refiners Association of America and the Petroleum Marketers Association of America. Mr. Pester is a director of AMERUS Life Insurance Company (formerly American Mutual Life Insurance Company) of Des Moines, Iowa. |
