Jack C. Schecter is an associate at Bromberg & Sunstein. Jack's practice focuses on litigation, with a particular emphasis on representing clients in complex patent cases in a wide variety of technical areas, including telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, data encryption and mechanical devices. Jack has also represented a number of clients in a wide variety of general business litigation matters. Experience Extensive experience in all aspects of patent litigation across a wide spectrum of technologies, ranging from computer science and mechanical engineering to food processing. Represented international pharmaceutical company in successfully defending the validity of patent on blockbuster medication for the treatment of glaucoma. Jack was a key member of the trial team that tried and won the case after a two week bench trial in the Federal District Court of New Jersey. Defended leading provider of speech recognition technology against patent infringement allegations lodged in the Western District of New York. Briefed and argued motions for summary judgment resulting in the invalidation of the asserted patent and dismissal of all claims. Jack has counseled clients with respect to trademark ownership, enforcement and licensing issues. Professional and Community Involvement In addition to his general membership in the American Inns of Court, Jack serves locally on the Executive Committee of the Suffolk University Litigation Inn of Court. Jack is a member of the American Bar Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. As part of the Boston Bar Association�s expansion of its program to assist pro se litigants in the Boston Housing Court, Jack serves as a BBA Trial Attorney.
