Doctor Jack Yager has been part of private practice since 1973 with Drs. Swanson, Sowers, Lee & Yager, P.A., in Orlando, Florida, specializing in cornea and contact lenses. He is the President and Office Administrator of his practice. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree, and graduated with honors, from Ohio State University, where he was senior class president. Dr. Yager is the current President of the American Association of Optometry where he has held several officer-level positions. He is also a member and past president of the Florida chapter of the AAO (1983-1999). Dr. Yager holds several professional appointments, including clinical investigator for Allergan, Vistakon, CIBA Vision, Paragon and Johnson & Johnson. He sits on the Gas Permeable Institute Board and Vistakon Speakers Bureau. The Practice of Drs. Swanson, Sowers, Lee & Yager, P.A., was chosen one of the Top Ten Contact Lens Practices in the United States by 20/20 Magazine in 1997, and was also selected as the Small Business Partner for Central Florida by Partners in Education 1994.
