Mr. Bowman has served as a director of Targeted Genetics since March 1997. From March 2003 to May 2004, Mr. Bowman served as executive chairman and chairman of the board of NeoRx Corporation, a cancer therapeutics development company, and as its chief executive officer from June 2003 to May 2004. From 1987 to January 1994, Mr. Bowman was a company group chairman at Johnson & Johnson, with primary responsibility for a group of companies in the diagnostic, blood glucose monitoring and pharmaceutical businesses. From 1980 to 1987, he held various positions at American Cyanamid Company, a pharmaceutical company, most recently as executive vice president. Mr. Bowman previously served as a member of the board of trustees of The Johns Hopkins University and NeoRx Corporation and currently serves as a director of Celgene Corporation and AVI Biotherapeutics, Inc. |
