Jack Becker is President of Snow Becker Krauss P.C., and Chairman of the firm's Corporate & Securities Department. He specializes in the fields of federal and state securities laws, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions, and has substantial experience with investment banking and merchant bankers. Mr. Becker is a recognized authority in oil and gas transactions and public and private securities financings. He represents buyers, sellers, intermediaries and management teams in a broad range of mergers and acquisitions, and provides legal advise to assist clients and their financial advisers in structuring their transactions to meet tax, accounting and regulatory requirements. Mr. Becker has extensive background and familiarity with the launching and supporting of new companies, and the forming of strategic alliances. He has numerous contacts in the financial community which may be a source for early stage venture capital and later stage financing. Mr. Becker's specialties also include providing legal advice concerning regulatory filings and compliance matters. He is admitted to practice law in New York. He received a B.S. degree (cum laude, 1957) from New York University, and a law degree (1960) from New York University School of Law. He was an enforcement attorney for the Securities and Exchange Commission, New York Regional Office from 1962 to 1966 where he became a Branch Chief, and the Assistant Director of Compliance of the American Stock Exchange from 1967 to 1968. In 1968, Mr. Becker entered private practice, and in 1977 became a founding member of the firm. He is a member of both the American Bar Association (Member, Section on Corporation, Banking and Business Law), and the New York State Bar Association. |
