Jack Cooke is the senior vice president of Tactical Reconnaissance Systems for L-3 Communications Integrated Systems (L-3 IS) and serves as Site Executive for the Greenville, Texas facility. In this capacity as senior vice president, he heads an organization specializing in the modernization, maintenance and logistical support of advanced technology reconnaissance aircraft. As Site Executive, Cooke is responsible for the effective application of capital, facility and manpower resources for the Greenville site. Cooke joined the company in 1975 as a software engineer responsible for the design and development of real-time process control software for RC-135 aircraft. He advanced through positions of increased responsibility within the engineering organization and was promoted to program manager in 1982. In 1985, he was assigned as program manager for the Mission Communication System. This upgrade program provided state-of-the art airborne communications capability for the president of the United States and other senior government officials. Cooke was promoted to director of Scientific and Technical Programs in 1988. In this capacity, he directed technology development programs and contracts for the maintenance and modernization of a fleet of special purpose RC-135 aircraft. In the fall of 1994 he was named director for the TRS business area and in the spring of 1995 he was named vice president of Special Systems. Cooke earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from East Carolina University, a master�s degree in computer science from East Texas State University and a master�s degree in business administration from the University of Dallas. Cooke was born in Greenville, N.C.
