Jack Glowik enters his third season in the NFL in 2007 after spending 25 years as an assistant coach in the collegiate ranks, including the final six at Northwestern, where he tutored both the defensive line (1999-2001) and tight ends/H-backs (2002-04). Glowik covers the Mid-Central states in the Dolphins� scouting system.
Glowik began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Miami (Ohio), from 1978-79. He earned a full-time position at the school in 1980 and remained there for the next three years before moving on to North Carolina State, where he coached the defensive line for the Wolfpack from 1983-84. A year at Youngstown (1987) and two seasons at Ohio (1988-89) preceded a return to Miami (Ohio), where he was defensive line coach for the next nine years (1990-98) before joining the Northwestern staff.
Glowik was a four-year letterman as a defensive lineman at Miami (Ohio), from 1974-77, where he earned his bachelor�s degree in education in 1978. He also was part of three Mid-American Conference championship clubs, and in 1998 was inducted into the school�s Hall of Fame. Glowik and his wife, Beth, have two daughters, Kelsey and Haley, and reside in Overland Park, Kansas. |
