As senior vice president, head of global structured products and managing director of Radian's international financial guaranty businesses, Jack Praschnik is responsible for overseeing Radian's strategy for delivering credit enhancement on structured transactions in the global capital markets and managing day-to-day operations of its international financial guaranty businesses.
Mr. Praschnik joined Radian in 2003 as head of global strategies, where he directed the research and analysis of capital markets as well as the development of new business opportunities for Radian's financial guaranty business. Previously, Mr. Praschnik worked as managing director, portfolio risk management at MBIA where he was responsible for measuring and managing the risk of MBIA's insured portfolio. Prior to that, he served as vice president, strategic planning and quantitative research at Citibank. Earlier in his career, he held a similar position at GE.
Mr. Praschnik began his career as an assistant professor of economics at the University of Western Ontario. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of South Florida, a master's degree in economics from Brown University and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Florida.
