Dr. Jack Walter was recently appointed to serve as the Chairman of the AVEC Advisory Board to help develop specific business and technical recommendations for identifying and cultivating potential market opportunities and applications for the company. Having graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Chemical Engineering as well as earning a Master's degree and a PhD, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the position.
Dr. Walter has established a long and illustrious history in the power and generation industries. He previously served as the President of Constellation Power, Inc., a multi-billion dollar subsidiary of Constellation Energy Group that owns and operates over 40 energy generation plants and fuel generation facilities throughout the United States and Latin America. Prior to that, Dr. Walter was President of Ogden Power Corporation and a co-founder and Director of Gallagher Marine Systems, Inc.
Dr. Walter also served as Director of Engineering and President of the Fluid Systems Division for Gulf + Western Manufacturing Company. Previous to that he served with Westinghouse Electric Corporation, where he worked at the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory under the direction of Admiral Hyman Rickover in the development of United States Naval Nuclear Submarine Propulsion Program. Dr. Walter has also served on numerous company boards over the years, including Gallagher Marine Services, EGI, Inc., the Electrical Generation Association, the Valve Manufacturers Association, and Millennium Power, Inc.
As a previous consultant to AVEC, Dr. Walter has already provided the company with an invaluable level of management and technical expertise. With his recent appointment as Chairman of the AVEC Advisory Council, Dr. Walter will continue to provide this essential service as well as helping to develop comprehensive strategies that will help the company meet its vision to become the definitive leader in engine and energy markets worldwide. |
