Mr. Arback, co-founder of The Africa Channel, has over 20 years of international business and media experience, with special expertise in the global satellite and pay television industry in Africa , the Middle East , Asia and the U.S. As a senior executive and corporate advisor, his experience encompasses a wide range of business functions in the pay television arena, including venture formation, programming, satellite distribution, fundraising, executive management, partnerships and regulatory clearances.

Previously, Mr. Arback was president of Los Angeles-based Business Research International (BRI), which advised Fortune 500 companies in the international pay television, broadcasting and satellite businesses. In the global pay television arena, Mr. Arback has advised a number of media and satellite ventures including: Afrisat Networks (West Africa), the Modi Entertainment Group (India), Arab Radio and Television (Middle East & North Africa and the U.S.), the H.T. Telesis Group (S.E. Asia), Sterling, Ltd. (India), New Skies Satellites (global), Investor AB (content delivery) and Intelsat (Hong Kong DTH), PanAmSat (global program delivery) and Space Systems/Loral (global).

Prior to BRI, Mr. Arback was a Vice President at DirecTV-International, where he was directly responsible for establishing satellite-based pay television businesses in Africa , the Middle East , India , S.E. Asia and Central Europe . He was also involved in the early design of Galaxy Latin America and DirecTV-Japan. Mr. Arback has been involved in three previous start-up ventures, both as a founder and a key advisor, including one that reached the IPO stage in 2001 and currently trades on the NYSE. He has lived in Egypt , traveled extensively in North, West and South Africa and reads, writes and speaks Arabic.
