Jacob Knapp is a member of the firm's public law group. Prior to joining Meyers Nave, he served as a summer associate with Cozen O'Connor, where he conducted loss site inspections and drafted responsive pleadings. He also served as a legal research specialist teaching assistant at the University of San Diego School of Law and as an intern at the United States District Court, where he helped implement the electronic case filing system.Jacob received his J.D. cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law. While in law school, he was the recipient of several honors, such as the Academic Achievement & Outstanding Merit Scholarship, Honors for Lawyering Skills and the Best Advocate award for the Lawyering Skills Moot Court. He also acted as a Small Claims Court Mediator for the City of San Diego, the 2L Representative for the USD Student Bar Association, an AIDS Legal Clinic Volunteer for Pro Bono Legal Advocates and a coach for the Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court Team. He received his B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, where he co-founded the UCSD Habitat for Humanity Chapter and received the Dean's Leadership Award. |
