Professor Nusbacher is a leading expert in the field of immunohematology and transfusion medicine, and has extensive experience in both the scientific and business aspects of human plasma- derived therapies. Immediately prior to joining GammaCan, he served as Medical Director of Kamada Ltd, a pharmaceutical company specializing in drugs manufactured from human plasma. He has also served as National Director of the Canadian Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service and has directed major regional blood centers in the United States and Canada. In addition, Dr. Nusbacher has held the position of Professor of Medicine at the Universities of Rochester, Pittsburgh and Toronto, and was Visiting Professor at Tel Aviv University. He has more than 100 scientific publications to his credit including one of the first publications on the use of IVIg in immune thrombocytopenia. |
