Jacques Cesaire (SEE-zair) is one of the most versatile players on the Chargers defensive line. Hes a player who can capably defend the run or rush the passer from either side of the line of scrimmage. Cesaire saw action in every game in 2007 and was called upon to start six games. He responded with a career-high 50-tackle season as the Chargers boasted the NFLs seventh-best run defense. Cesaire wreaked havoc against Tennessee twice during the season, racking up a season-high 11 tackles in Week 14 and then recording a sack when the teams met in January in an AFC Wild Card Playoff game.
Jacques has four siblings and his Haitian-born parents are both nurses in his hometown of Gardner, Mass. Jacques father, Carmy, had a bit of good fortune several years ago when he scratched a lottery ticket and won $1 million. Despite their good fortune, both of Jacques parents continued to work. He too has plans to continue working when his football-playing days come to an end. Jacques likes working with his hands and is planning to pursue a career in the construction field. |
