Among Jims favorite Nike innovations is the Bowerman Series running shoe. Bill Bowerman and his wife were Jims guests at the Oregon Indoor Track Meet in 1980, where they discussed the weight of the shoes. Every time I spoke with Bill, the conversation always included his intense commitment to reducing the weight that runners carry on their feet, he said. The Bowerman Series shoes are truly about remembering the man and what was most important to him. |
