JJames C. Gaither has served as a director of NVIDIA since December 1998. Mr. Gaither has been a managing director of Sutter Hill Ventures, a venture capital investment firm, since July 2000. He is a retired partner of the law firm of Cooley Godward LLP. Prior to beginning his law practice in 1969, Mr. Gaither served as a law clerk to The Honorable Earl Warren, Chief Justice of the United States, Special Assistant to the Assistant Attorney General in the United States Department of Justice and Staff Assistant to the President of the United States, Lyndon Johnson. Mr. Gaither is a former president of the Board of Trustees at Stanford University and is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
