Jim Koch founded the Company in 1984 using his great-great grandfather's recipe and revolutionized the American beer industry. Samuel Adams Boston Lager helped pave the way for the craft brewing movement, bringing rich full-flavored beer back to the American beer landscape. Mr. Koch began brewing in his kitchen and carrying his beer door-to-door to local bars in Boston. The beer caught on and today the Company brews over 18-distinctive styles of beers. Mr. Koch currently serves as the Chairman and Clerk of the Company. Until January 2001, Mr. Koch also served as the Company's Chief Executive Officer. |
