AREAS OF PRACTICE Litigation - Commercial Corporate Transactions Bankruptcy, Reorganization and Creditor's Rights James has participated in a number of complex litigation matters including the successful resolution of multi-million dollar securities class action cases. Prior to attending law school, James worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as a bank examiner and worked on such matters as the BCCI investigation. His in depth knowledge of computer technology coupled with his experience in complex litigation has allowed James to develop an expertise for handling both the technology and the legal issues emerging in electronic document discovery matters. REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE Member of team representing plaintiffs in $75 Million class action securities settlement relating to fraud in real estate limited partnership offerings. Spearheaded electronic document discovery in complex multi-million dollar litigation involving fraud in securitized commercial mortgage transactions. Trial of arbitration involving employment issues, and breach of contract against a Minnesota based cooperative. Representation of defendant in action alleging theft of proprietary information and breach of confidentiality agreement and involving issues of preserving electronic data evidence.
