Jim Bryant is executive vice president and chief administrative officer at CA, is responsible for the company�s information technology, facilities and administration, corporate transformation, and planning operations.
A 30-year IT veteran, Jim has extensive knowledge of the software industry and in running global operations. Jim joined CA in 2006 from Common Angels, a Boston-based investment group which provides funding and mentoring for high technology startups.
Previously, Jim worked at IBM until 2002 where he held numerous finance positions in the company�s geographies and in its various business units.
In his last position at IBM, Bryant spent eight years as the vice president in charge of the finance and administrative operations of IBM�s $8 billion software group. In that global position, he managed a worldwide team of 2,000 administrative and information technology professionals. He also played a key role in the acquisition strategy and integration management of 18 acquisitions including Lotus, Tivoli and Informix.
Bryant holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri and a master�s degree in business administration from the University of California at Berkeley. He served in the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant and saw action in the Vietnam conflict. |
