Mr. Hensel was appointed to Pac-West's Board of Directors in November, 2006. Mr. Hensel is a Senior Vice President for Columbia Ventures Corporation (CVC). Mr. Hensel has extensive experience with medical and manufacturing start-up companies. In 2001 Mr. Hensel started HemCon. HemCon is a chitosan-based hemorrhage control bandage company. HemCon is now ~50 employees, positive cash flow and profitable. Prior to HemCon, Mr. Hensel built a $315 million aluminum smelter in Iceland, and microbreweries around the Western U.S. Mr. Hensel was previously a partner at Ater Wynne, a large law firm in Portland, Oregon. Mr. Hensel holds a BA from Harvard University and a JD from Willamette University College of Law.
