James Wilson is a principal with over 20 years of consulting experience, primarily in the electric power and natural gas industries. Recent assignments have focused on the economic and policy issues arising from the introduction of competition into these industries, including restructuring policies, market design, and market power. Other recent engagements have included contract litigation and re-negotiation; forecasting and market evaluation; retail competition issues; and reasonableness reviews. Mr. Wilson also spent five years in Russia advising on the reform and restructuring of the Russian electricity and natural gas industries for the World Bank and other clients, and he continues to consult on Russian energy reform issues. Prior to joining LECG, his consulting career was with ICF Resources, Decision Focus Inc., and as an independent consultant.
Mr. Wilson has submitted affidavits and testified in Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and state regulatory proceedings. His papers have appeared in the Energy Journal, Electricity Journal, Public Utilities Fortnightly and other publications, and he has often presented at industry conferences. |
