Prior to joining Huron, Jim was a senior manager at Arthur Andersen. Previously he was Director of Systems at Hennigan Mercer & Bennett and Litigation Technology Manager at Howrey & Simon.

Jim's emphasis includes providing services to the legal community on discovery management, evidence preservation (legal holds), collaborative workflow methodologies, electronic discovery, document conversion, database creation, and trial preparation.

Served as an expert in a breach of contract matter involving a bonding and surety company related to the implementation of an electronic document management system that allegedly did not fulfill complex contractual requirements. Client received favorable settlement as a result of mediation.
Developed and implemented a standard technology platform and business process to support the in-house counsel of a major retailer that was handling documents and data relevant to 8,400+ separate asbestos-related litigations. Reduced costs by millions and leveraged platform to support hundreds of external counsel users on multiple pieces of litigation.
Led the team responsible for establishing enterprise wide discovery protocols for the internal and external legal teams of an energy company. This included addressing issue identification, preservation policies, data collection, data conversion, production review, and post production data needs.
Directed the team that developed a strategy for reviewing electronic documents related to litigation a wireless communication services company was facing. Executed implementation of a two million page electronic review and production performed by three sites of legal teams utilizing a web based review platform.
Led the design, creation and implementation of a collaborative web-based data analysis site for a Fortune 500 company (major airline) in order to centralize their information and place it in a shared environment making it available to all of the necessary parties, both internally and externally. Integral to the project were the protocols and processes developed for the users to ensure the integrity of the system.
