James H. Renken joins TMNG from Charter Communications where he served as the VP/GM of their largest cable operation. Jim was responsible for the sales, service, deployment and budget of the triple play bundle of voice, data, and video products for just under 1.2 million households. Prior to Charter he worked for Cox Communications, Inc. where he was Vice President of Operations Support, with responsibility for operational issues, functional coordination and infrastructure development in the deployment of all new advanced broadband services, including digital video, and high-speed Internet access and telephone.
His 20 years with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, now AT&T, in a variety of senior management positions in Residential Services, Strategic Planning, Product Management, and Broadband Deployment provided a solid foundation in the communications business.
A graduate of Northeast Missouri State University with a B.S. in Education, Mr. Renken has an exemplary record of involvement in education outreach, including having been the president of the Community in Schools organization in El Paso, Texas, and appointment to the Upper Rio Grand Private Industry Council by the Governor of Texas. He has also served as a consultant to the Parkway, Missouri School System in St. Louis, assisting with process improvement, as well as serving as high school track and field coach in Atlanta. |
