James J. Roszkowski is a business leader and senior executive with a significant record of starting up and developing new business and entrepreneurial ventures- both domestic and international- within Fortune 500 companies. During a 25-year career primarily in the financial services industry, Mr. Roszkowski has exhibited an ability to lead and transform organizations to achieve bottom line results. Mr. Roszkowski was a Senior Executive Vice President and Senior Operating Committee member of MBNA America, the world's largest independent credit card issuer prior to the recent merger with Bank of America, for seventeen years where he was responsible for a number of business divisions which greatly contributed to the rapid growth and success of the corporation. His past experiences have included leadership roles in business development, sales and marketing, portfolio acquisitions, community foundation management including overseeing a $750MM Community Reinvestment Act loan and investment portfolio and international and domestic strategic and business expansion planning. In 2002 and 2003, Mr. Roszkowski served as Delaware's Governor Ruth Ann Minner's Special Advisor on Economic Development as a MBNA loaned executive. He successfully developed and implemented a vision and strategy to grow Delaware's economy, employment opportunities and overall wealth creation throughout the state. A graduate of St. Johns University in New York and an Executive Negotiations Education Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Roszkowski currently is a Board Director of SoundBite Communication, Inc., an IVM OnDemand Communications ASP platform technology company. He also serves as Board Chair of Exactor, Inc., a company that services the retail market with their end to end handling of sales and use tax calculation, compliance and remittance processing. Additionally, Mr. Roszkowski is a Board Director for The PAT Network, Inc. a Debit Card marketing, sales and processing company focused on the needs of the large and growing U.S. population of non-banked consumers. Mr. Roszkowski is an active member of the Mid Atlantic Angel Group (MAG), which focuses on funding new start up technology and life science company ventures in the greater Mid-Atlantic region and is also active in a private sector entity interested in promoting entrepreneurs and new company formation ventures within Delaware. Mr. Roszkowski is active in the non-profit community. He is Vice- Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Archmere Academy, a College Preparatory School located in Claymont, Delaware, serves as a member of Delaware's Science and Technology/NSF EPSCOR committee, is an Advisor and member of the University of Delaware's Sea Grant College Program Advisory Council and a Board Trustee of the Ministry of Caring, non-profit community activist group serving the poor and indigent of Delaware. |
