Former Vice President and Chief Scientist, SatCon Technology Corporation. James L. Kirtley, Jr. became a Director in 1992. Dr. Kirtley. joined the Corporation as a Consultant in 1985 and became a Director in 1992. Dr. Kirtley was a full time employee of the company from March, 1998 until September, 2000. He was Vice President and General Manager from March 1998 until February 2000 and Vice President and Chief Scientist until September 2005. Dr. Kirtley continues to consult for the company on various projects. Dr. Kirtley is Professor of Electrical Engineering at M.I.T., having joined the M.I.T. faculty in 1971. Dr. Kirtley received his S.B., S.M. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from M.I.T.
