James L. Rohrs is President and Chief Operating Officer of First Federal Bank of the Midwest a subsidiary of First Defiance Financial Corp. in Defiance Ohio. and First Insurance & Investments of Defiance Ohio are also subsidiaries of First Defiance which is traded on the NASDAQ National Market under the trading symbol: FDEF.
Mr. Rohrs built his banking career at The Huntington National Bank of Columbus Ohio where he spent more than 25 years in a variety of positions and departments after beginning his career as senior business development and credit officer in The Huntington�s Bowling Green Ohio office. He was promoted to senior lending officer and president for the northwest Ohio area. In 1994 Mr. Rohrs was promoted to senior vice president and business banking product manager for The Huntington�s corporate small business market segment in Columbus Ohio where he managed marketing product development and the credit approval process for companies with annual sales of up to $10 million.
Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis on finance and credit management from Bowling Green State University. He also attended the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.
He is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Defiance and board member for the Defiance Area Chamber of Commerce. He also served as Financial Division Chairman for First Defiance�s 2000 United Way campaign. |
