James L. Sedore Jr. is a career Certified Public Accountant who has spent the last 30 years as a partner in public accounting firms. He began his career in 1965, and in 1982 he established the firm of Sedore and O�Sullivan. By 1998 the firm had expanded to Sedore, O�Sullivan, Letterio and Barschi, C.P.A.s, serving the counties of Dutchess, Putnam, and Orange.
Mr. Sedore has served as an officer or member of numerous business and political organizations. He was chairman of the board of the Greater Southern Dutchess Chamber of Commerce, where he founded the Southern Dutchess Institute for Leadership, and the Wappingers Falls Chamber of Commerce. He served as treasurer of the Dutchess County Republican Committee and chairman of the Town of Fishkill Republican Committee. His memberships have included the Pawling Chamber of Commerce, the Cold Spring Chamber of Commerce, the Beacon Business Association, the Wappingers Falls Businessmen�s and Professional Association, and the Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation.
A native of Beacon, Mr. Sedore has been active in many civic organizations, including the Sloper-Willen Community Ambulance Service, Dutchess County Hospice, the Fishkill Rotary Club, the Wappingers Falls Rotary Club, the Elks Club, the Dutchess County Boy Scout Council, the Dutchess County Girl Scouts, Family Services, Inc., the Dutchess County Unit of the American Cancer Society, and the Dutchess Community College Foundation. In 1990 he was awarded the 23rd annual Meritorious Award by the Exchange Club of Southern Dutchess for Outstanding Community Service.
Mr. Sedore received a bachelor�s degree in Business Administration from Siena College in Loudonville, New York in 1965. He lives with his wife Diane in Fishkill. |
