James L. McGovern is a senior vice president at GE Capital Corp., where he arranges financing for media companies. Previously he has held positions at Morgan Stanley & Co., TD Securities, and Salomon Smith Barney. He holds a B.A. in economics from Boston College and is a member of the Boston College Wall Street Council.
Mr. McGovern lives with his wife and daughter in Manhasset, New York, and has been a daily commuter on the LIRR since 1998. He has been the Long Island Rail Road Commuters Council representative to the MTA Board since March 2002. Mr. McGovern was a commuter from Dobbs Ferry Station on Metro-North from 1992 to 1998 and is also a daily subway rider. |
