James M. Cole has Master's and Bachelor's Degrees in Geology. James has 40 years experience in all phases of petroleum exploration - from hands-on to management. His main expertise is merging proven exploration techniques with advanced 3-D seismic technology.
Since 1976 Mr. Cole has been the Owner and President of the J.M. Cole Company that primarily focuses on domestic and international oil and gas exploration. Most recently under contract to Pogo Producing Compnay as Senior Executive International Exploration Advisor from 1994 to 1997. Areas of interest were Gulf of Thailand Hungary Romania Poland and West Africa. Mr. Cole also has experience working in Tunisia Russia and Argentina.
Prior to forming the J.M. Cole Company Mr. Cole was a founder and partner of the Mellon Creek Exploration Company with primary areas of interest in Texas and Louisiana.
Before that from 1958 until 1974 Mr. Cole was employed at Exxon Company USA where he served as Manager of the Computer Geological Exploration Division and most recently as Manager Geological Operations Offshore Gulf of Mexico to Canada. |
