James Johnson founded TelePro, Inc., in 1976, to provide a wide range of software services. Today these services include:

Mr. Johnson has wide experience in industrial applications, particularly in the petroleum and aluminum industries. He has provided telecommunications links to a variety of large scale computers, minicomputers, PCs, and front end data acquisition and control systems. He has serviced locations in Venezuela, Wales, France, Japan, and Brazil, as well as throughout the U.S. and Canada.
He developed the human-machine interface product called VECTOR, which enables a user to request and send data between host computers on a network via customized, animated displays that appear on a PC. This product, in conjunction with CIMSafe(tm) and CIMSafe(tm), is part of TelePro's CIMmetry� line of software.
Mr. Johnson has worked on an extensive number of projects including:
Designed, developed, and implemented a man-machine interface product used in many plant production centers throughout the world. This product uses PC-based graphics (CGI and GKS), involves asynchronous, TCP/IP, and MAP communications between PCs and VAX/VMS and Modcomp minicomputers.
Ported the human-machine interface system from DOS to OS/2. Project made extensive use of multiple cooperating processes and threads using shared memory, semaphores, and named pipes.
Extensive PC/compatible communications projects involving the use of TCP/IP (C socket interface), FTP, MAP 2.1 and 3.0, and various asynchronous and bisynchronous communications interfaces, C, FORTRAN, and assembly languages.
Telecommunication links to a variety of large scale computer systems, mini- and microcomputers, and front end data acquisition and control systems.
Chemical analytical laboratory automation in both refinery and research and development environments.
Jet engine testing for research and development efforts.
Time-sharing accounting and security systems that monitor, collect, and report information concerning utilized computer resources.
Data acquisition in chemical plants.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
Six years experience at Standard Oil Company (Indiana), working with IBM mainframes and Modular Computer Systems�. He automated chemical analytical laboratories in both refinery and research environments.
