James R. Bolch joined Ingersoll Rand in October 2005 as president of the Industrial Technologies Sector and was elected senior vice president of the company.
Jim joined Ingersoll Rand from Schindler Elevator Corporation where as Executive Vice President of the Service Business he led the North American services functions including sales marketing and service delivery and achieved record revenue and profits improved customer retention and instituted major process improvements.
Jim spent 21 years with United Technologies Corporation starting in engineering with United Technologies Optical Systems and then moving to Otis Elevator Company. At Otis he held positions of increasing responsibility in operations services and product administration progressing to Vice President Otis Global Service a $3 billion business that serviced more than 1 million elevators globally.
In his last role Jim was Vice President Operations for the UTC Power Division where he created and implemented the business strategy to commercialize fuel cell production for distributed generation and transportation markets.
Jim holds Bachelor of Science and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Tulane University and the University of Florida respectively. He has also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. |
