Jim has over 26 years of professional engineering experience involving project management, conceptual and detail design, EPC-turnkey contracting, and technical and economic analysis of energy projects and systems. He joined Cummins & Barnard in 2003 as a Principal and member of the Board of Directors, and is an Owner of the firm. As President his focus is on project management and execution. Jim has extensive experience with power generation projects including independent power, utility systems, combustion turbines and combined cycles, industrial and cogeneration facilities, project development, and technical and economic feasibility studies. Jim has served as Project Manager as well as Consortium Leader on many large and successful power generation projects in both domestic and international locations. He was previously Vice President and Projects Director for a major engineering/construction firm with overall technical and P&L responsibility for over 4,000 MW of EPC projects. Jim's technical expertise includes analysis and optimization of thermal cycle designs, solid fuel and combustion turbine and combined cycle plant design, as well as extensive experience with project team formation, leadership and successful execution. |
