James R. Cunningham joined the firm in 2004 as an associate. He is a member of the Estate Planning Unit focusing on Estate and Tax Planning for individuals, families, and small businesses, Estate Administration, Probate, Conservatorships, and Guardianships. He is also involved in organizing and participating in estate planning seminars for non-profits organizations and trade associations.
James earned his Juris Doctor Degree at the University of the Pacific, Mc George School of Law where he received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in the Taxation of Business Enterprises. His undergraduate studies were in Business at California State University, Sacramento where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He is admitted to the California Bar and the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of California.
In addition to his law practice, James is involved in a number of organizations in the Sacramento area, including Eskaton and Make a Wish Foundation. He also enjoys participating in marathons, with a personal best of 2 hours and 58 minutes.
James and his wife, Johanna, reside in Folsom with their son, Joshua. |
