James S. Gielda holds a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture degree and Horticulture Minor from the College of Architecture and Urban Studies at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). James was the top graduate within the College for 2002. James first entered the professional arena as a designer with Lucido & Associates in Stuart, Florida. He was involved with both site planning and detailed site-scale design for a number of communities, including Traditions in Port Saint Lucie, Evergrene in Palm Beach Gardens, and The Ritz Carlton Golf Club and Spa located in Jupiter. Upon relocation to Palm Beach County, James joined the award winning land planning firm Land Design South as a project designer and subsequently a senior project manager. As a senior project manager at Land Design South, James was responsible for guiding projects from the initial stages of due diligence through conceptual design, rezoning, site planning, and concurrency approvals. Aside from project work, James was also involved with the internal operations of managing staff, accounting and marketing of the firm. Although James has managed a multitude of entitlement projects ranging from residential and commercial developments to churches, schools and medical facilities, his specialty lies with planned residential developments and mixed-use developments throughout Palm Beach County. James has site planned and entitled numerous high-end Palm Beach County residential developments, including Equus AGR PUD in Boynton Beach, Royal Palm Polo PUD in Boca Raton, and both Frenchman�s Reserve and Frenchman�s Creek in Palm Beach Gardens. Professionally James has served on the Palm Beach County Development Review Oversight Committee and has been involved with the American Society of Landscape Architects. He is currently a member of the Palm Beach County Planning Congress. James Gielda joined the EB Developers team in June 2005 as Project Manager for all Palm Beach County entitlement projects. He has also been involved with both entitlement projects in Miami-Dade county and condominium conversions in the Orlando, Tampa and south Florida markets. With a high degree of professionalism, James blends his abilities as a skilled site, urban and landscape designer with a diligent management background. These skills prove invaluable throughout the initial stages of project development. |
