Over the course of his 35-year career with Genesco Jim Gulmi has held positions of increasing responsibility within the financial management areas of the Company. Gulmi began as a financial analyst in 1971 and was appointed vice president of finance and corporate treasurer in 1983. He has served as chief financial officer since 1986 and in 1996 was named senior vice president of finance.
He received his bachelor of arts degree in business from Baldwin Wallace College and earned his master of business administration degree from Emory University.
Gulmi is an active member of the civic and business community in Middle Tennessee serving a number of nonprofit agencies as a board member or committee member including The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee United Way of Metropolitan Nashville Finance Committee and Leadership Nashville. In addition he has served as a volunteer for various organizations including the United Way Outlook Nashville and Crittenton Services. In 2000 he received the Order of Achievement an annual alumni achievement award from Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. |
