Mr. Kinnear graduated from the University of Toronto in 1969 with a B.Sc. degree and received a C.F.A. designation in 1979. In 1982 he founded Pengrowth Management Limited and in 1988 created Pengrowth Energy Trust. Prior to 1982, he worked in the securities sector in Montreal, Toronto and London, England. Mr. Kinnear was awarded the Ernst and Young, Prairies Region Entrepreneur of the Year award for 2001, and the Alberta Venture Businessman of the Year award in 2008. Mr. Kinnear currently serves on a number of boards and committees, including The Banff Centre Board of Governors, Canadian Council of Chief Executives, Canadian Olympic Foundation, National Arts Centre Foundation Board, Pengrowth Rockyview General Hospital Invitational Golf Tournament and the Rockyview General Hospital Development Council |
