As District Administrator of Bristol, Givens oversees construction and maintenance of transportation assets in this area.
Givens began his career at VDOT in 1965 as a right of way agent. Later he was promoted to state
right of way program coordinator, assistant budget officer, state secondary roads engineer, and most recently director of the Local Assistance Division in Richmond. He has represented VDOT before legislative committees for the past decade.
Education and Organizations
Graduate of Emory and Henry College, Senior Member of the International Right of Way Association.
Personal
Married to Fran Givens. They have two married daughters, two grandchildren.
