Mr. Crawford has practiced extensively in the area of governmental finance and governmental law for more than three decades. Mr. Crawford acts as bond counsel, tax counsel in lease transactions, underwriter's counsel, issuer's counsel and borrower's counsel in a wide variety of governmental financings at the state, county and local levels of government. Mr. Crawford is the chair of the firm's Municipal Practice Group and the lead attorney for the firm in the areas of general obligation bonds, building corporation lease rental bonds, tax anticipation borrowings, economic development income tax bonds, economic development incentives and financing affordable housing developments, having provided bond and/or tax credit counsel services for affordable housing developments which constructed and/or rehabilitated in excess of 15,000 affordable housing units. He has previously served as tax counsel to the Indiana Housing Finance Authority. Mr. Crawford is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and serves on the Associate Member Board of Directors of the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns. He is the former Chairman of the National Association of Bond Lawyers Tax-Exempt Lease Financing Panel as well as its Glass-Steagall and Banking Law Issues Panel.
