James T. Jenkins is the Corporate Director of Human Resources for Truman Medical Centers. Upon joining the organization in 1999, he assumed responsibility for recruiting and selection of employees, labor and employee relations, compensation and benefits, human resource information systems, human resource planning and employee health services.
Jenkins has over 30 years of human resource experience in a variety of organizations including Target Stores, Broadway Stores, Thorn America, and Pfizer, Inc. In addition to his human resource experience, Jenkins served in the United States Air Force as an assistant professor of Philosophy at the United States Air Force Academy.
In addition to responsibilities at Truman Medical Centers, Jenkins serves on the Board of Directors of Move-Up, a community action committee working to decrease crime and violence in Kansas City. Jenkins also serves on the Union Management Committee, whose objective is to further positive relations between these groups. Other committees with which Mr. Jenkins is involved include the Missouri Hospital Association Scholarship and Health Care Job Creation Committees. |
