Jim Breyer is the Managing Partner of Accel Partners and has been responsible for Accel's involvement in over twenty-five companies that have completed public offerings or successful mergers. He is currently a director of Lightspan (NASDQ:LSPN), RealNetworks (NASDQ:RNWK), and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE:WMT). In addition to Model N, he sits on the boards of a number of private Internet companies, including Accel-KKR, AlphaBlox, Andale.com, BrassRing.com, Datasweep, eMac Digital, Groove Networks, and Motive Communications. Earlier, Jim worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in New York and in product marketing and management at Apple Computer and Hewlett Packard. A former President of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists, Jim serves on the boards of the Associates of the Harvard Business School, the National Venture Capital Association, Intel 64 Fund, Silicon Valley Community Ventures, the Stanford Engineering Venture Fund, TechNet, and the Harvard Business School California Research Center. He graduated from Stanford University with a BS in computer science and economics and received an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, where he was named a Baker Scholar. |
