James W. Bridges, Jr., was first elected to the Board as a Director on April 1, 1989. In July 1997, he was elected National Treasurer and became Executive Vice President, Fraternal in September 2000. A native of Rocky Mount, N.C., Bridges began his Woodmen of the World career in 1971 as a field representative in Albany, Ga. In 1972, he was promoted to area manager in Savannah, Ga., and in 1975, he became manager of the North California and North Nevada marketing area. Bridges became North Louisiana state manager in February 1981, and was promoted to Assistant Field Manager in December of that year. He was appointed an Assistant Vice President in September 1984, and Vice President and Field Manager in January 1985. Bridges is a member of the National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counselors. He is a past president of the Fraternal Field Managers Association and the California State Fraternal Congress. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Heartland Chapter of the American Red Cross. He is also an active member of the Insurance Conference Planners Association (ICPA). In addition, Bridges has served the insurance industry on the Agency Management Committee (AMC) for LIMRA (Life Insurance Marketing and Research Association). |
