James Checkley has nearly 20 years of experience in administrative, environmental, and public utility law. Named in The Best Lawyers in America, he has represented clients in the organic chemicals, synthetic fibers, nonferrous metals, and semiconductor industries in the regulation of hazardous waste (RCRA and CERCLA), toxic substance control, and air and water pollution control. Mr. Checkley has also practiced before state and federal agencies in contested hearings and rulemakings, judicial review of agency decisions, and original judicial proceedings regarding agency actions.
