James W. Dyke Jr. age 61 is a partner in the Virginia law firm of McGuire Woods LLP where he specializes in corporate education voting rights government relations and municipal law. He has been a partner with the firm since 1993. In addition to his legal career Mr. Dyke has extensive professional experience in government and public relations. Among other appointments he served as Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Virginia from 1990 to 1993 and as Domestic Policy Advisor to former Vice President Walter Mondale. Mr. Dyke has assumed leadership positions in several business and community organizations including serving as former Chairman of the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce the Northern Virginia Business Roundtable and the Emerging Business Forum. |
