James W. Twaddell, IV is the director of government affairs. He has a broad range of government relations and lobbying experience, with particular knowledge of legislative issues related to appropriations, health care, higher education and veteran affairs.
James joins the firm from the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN). During his tenure at AACN, James provided policy analysis and legislative strategy on several key issues. These issues included the Public Health Service Act, the Higher Education Act and the passage of the Nurse Reinvestment Act. Prior to joining AACN, James served as deputy director of communications for the office of U.S. Senator Arlen Specter. He was involved in the day-to-day management of the senator�s media and political strategy. Prior to his communications position, he served as a legislative aide and special assistant to the senator.
In General. James earned his master's degree in government from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, and received his bachelor's degree in public administration from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. |
