Jim Diller, a member of the Board of Directors of Summit Microelectronics is also a member of the Intersil Board of Directors. Jim became a member of the Intersil Board as a result of the acquisition of Elantec Semiconductor in May 2002 where he was a Director since 1986, and was Chairman of the Board of Elantec from 1997 to 2002. He served as Elantec s President and Chief Executive Officer from November 1998 to July 2000. Mr. Diller is a founder of PMC-Sierra, Inc. and was its President and Chief Executive Officer from 1983 to 1997; he is currently Vice Chairman of the Board. Mr. Diller was formerly a director of Sierra Wireless, a provider of wireless data communications hardware and software products. In addition, Mr. Diller serves on the board of several privately held companies. Mr. Diller holds a B.S. degree in physics from the University of Rhode Island. |
