James Ge is the Vice President of Drug Development at Cerexa. Prior to Cerexa Dr. Ge served as the Vice President of Pre-Clinical Development of Peninsula Pharmaceuticals where he led all preclinical development efforts for both doripenem and PPI0903 programs. Prior to Peninsula Dr. Ge served as Head of Anti-infectives and Clinical Microbiology at Genesoft Inc. (now Oscient Pharmaceuticals Corp.). From January 1998 to October 1999 Dr. Ge served in various roles including Assistant Director of Microbiology at Magainin Pharmaceutical Inc. (now Geneara Corporation). Prior to that Dr. Ge served as a Fellow Scientist at SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals (now GlaxoSmithKline). Over last ten years he has been involved in discovery and development of several different class antibiotics. Dr. Ge has 10 published patents and more than 30 papers. Dr. Ge received a Ph.D. in medical microbiology at West Virginia University Morgantown. Dr. Ge also received an M.S. in clinical microbiology and an M.D. in medicine at The Second military Medical University of Shanghai China. |
