Mr. Mazarakis is a Financial Services professional with twenty years of experience in private banking, investment management and brokerage. Fresh out of school, Mr. Mazarakis joined the consulting division of Arthur Andersen where he supported clients in Andersen's Financial Services practice. In 1981 he joined Warburg, Paribas, Becker (WPB) as a manager in the Corporate Systems Division. While at WPB, he managed the technology group supporting the Fixed Income and Correspondent Dealers Divisions. Mr. Mazarakis joined Goldman Sachs in 1983 as a Financial Analyst and over the next eleven years held numerous roles including head of Post Settlement Development, Head of Client Services Technology, and Manager of Private Client Services Technology. He was promoted to Vice President in 1988 and in 1992 was asked to implement technology for the International Private Client group while on assignment at Goldman's London Headquarters. In 1995 Mr. Mazarakis joined JP Morgan to develop the technology vision for the Private Banking division. At that time the Private Bank was leveraging the institutional platforms and applications were oriented along product lines rather than client types. The result of the vision was a three year operating plan having deliverables at nine month intervals for new applications that created a global client database, centralized client servicing applications, credit monitoring systems, brokerage trading applications, and a web presence. In 1998 Mr. Mazarakis was promoted to Managing Director and given the additional responsibility of managing the technology group supporting JP Morgan's US Investment Management division. After the merger with the Chase Manhattan Bank in September of 1999 Mr. Mazarakis was given responsibility for managing the combined US Private Banking and Investment Management technology groups as well as numerous integration efforts across these two divisions In 2002 Mr. Mazarakis joined Capital One as Senior Business Information Officer for Enterprise Services Group (ESG) Technology. ESG supports the Global Operations of Capital One through services in Direct Marketing, Inboind and Outbound Production Services, Fraud Prevention and Regulatory Compliance. In 2005 Mr. Mazarakis joined T. Rowe Price as their CTO. T. Rowe Price is a global investment management firm that manages $260 billion in client assets for Retail Investors, Institutional client and Retirement accounts. |
