James E. McLoughlin is the Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Business Development for WorldGate. Mr. McLoughlin was appointed Vice President of Business and Account Development in February 2001. Mr. McLoughlin is responsible for all sales, deployment, and business development efforts.
Mr. McLoughlin has 20 years of cable industry affiliate sales and operational experience. He got his start in the business when he joined HBO, cable's market leading subscription service, in 1981. He earned progressively responsible positions at HBO, including Account Executive, Regional Sales Manager, Director of Affiliate Operations, and finally, Vice President of Affiliate Sales and Operations of HBO's Philadelphia region. Mr. McLoughlin played a central role in taking HBO from a promising premium service to the cable industry's largest, most profitable quality premium networks.
Mr. McLoughlin is an active member of many industry organizations, including the American Marketing Association's Speakers Bureau, the Boards of Directors of the West Virginia Cable Television Association, Atlantic Cable Show, and CTAM of the Mid-Atlantic and New Jersey Cable Telecommunications Association.
He was president of CTAM Mid-Atlantic from 1991 to 1995. He also served on the Long Range Plan Committee for the Tredyffrin-Easttown School District, the Board of Directors of the Devon-Strafford Little League, and the Board of Advisors of the Caron Foundation.
Mr. McLoughlin earned an M.B.A. in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds an M.A. degree from Columbia University, and a B.S. degree from Niagara University. |
