James Moon joined Consumer Source, Inc. (CSI) in 1998 as Publisher of the Greater Miami Apartment Guide. Since joining the company, he has served in various other positions ranging from Publisher of the Atlanta Area Apartment Guide to Southeast Regional Director in the Homes Division. Most recently, as Director of New Business Development, Moon helped successfully launch the Metro DC New Home Directory, the Homes Division's most aggressive start-up to date. Throughout his CSI career, Moon has demonstrated an ability to hire and develop high-performance teams, and to achieve strong financial results. Moon began his business career in 1985 by joining the Federal Reserve Bank as a mail clerk while attending college. He quickly rose through the ranks, advancing to Manager of the Budget, Marketing, Business Development and Customer Assistance Groups. In this capacity, he coordinated the company-wide implementation of Total Quality Management, and served as a guest lecturer for Rice University. After 11 years with the Federal Reserve, Moon joined GTE Wireless (now Verizon) as a Major Account Manager, selling wireless products and services to Fortune 50 companies, and laying the foundation for a successful sales management career. Moon's experience also includes serving as General Manager for Trader Publishing Company in Miami and the Florida Keys, where he managed a $13 million operation, including the sales and distribution of 21 titles, and the production of 3 local magazines. Moon has an MBA from the University of Houston, where he received top honors as the "Outstanding Graduate Student" for the College of Business Administration. |
