James Ogden provides consulting services to organisations in the public and private sectors on mergers and acquisitions and on investment strategy.
James currently holds directorships with New Zealand Post (Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee), Kiwibank, Powerco Limited (Chair of the Finance Committee) and AgriQuality Limited; is a member of the Council of Victoria University of Wellington; and chairs the Monitoring Sub-Committee of the Wellington City Council.
Before becoming a consultant and director, James had extensive investment banking experience, including six years as Country Manager for Macquarie Bank Limited and five years as a Director of Credit Suisse First Boston. James worked for eight years in the New Zealand dairy industry in chief executive and finance roles, and in London for six years in finance roles.
James has a professional accounting background with extensive experience in investment banking and capital markets. He is a Chartered Accountant, a Member of the Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand Inc, and a former New Zealand Stock Exchange Broker.
