James Penman joined Octavian in September 2007 as CTO. In this position Mr. Penman is responsible for overseeing the product strategy and design of software solutions for the Wealth Management and Investment industry and spearhead Octavian�s technology vision.
Mr. Penman, a veteran technology executive, brings 16 years in financial services technology and executive experience to Octavian. Prior to joining Octavian, Mr. Penman was Senior Vice President with Bank of America (NYSE: BAC) and the Lead Technical Architect for Bank of America Separately Managed Account (SMA) and Wrap Account platforms. During Mr. Penman�s five years with Bank of America, their SMA program grew to become one of the largest in the USA. Prior to Bank of America, Mr. Penman served as Vice President of Brokerage Technology at Wachovia Securities (NYSE: WB) and held several senior positions at leading industry technology companies. Mr. Penman is a current member of the Money Management Institute�s (MMI) Operations and Communications Standards Committee, and the co-chairperson of its Technical Working Group.
Mr. Penman holds a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Pennsylvania State University. |
